Standing for Prisoners’ Human Rights

en route to see chand

I stand with the Millions for Prisoners’ Human Rights march today, having learned so much since my son’s incarceration. As a mother, grandma, teacher, taxpayer & person of conscience, I stand against the human rights abuses; incarceration of the mentally ill; terrible professional ethics; abusive and unbalanced imprisonment of minorities; splintering of families; corporate exploitation of prisoners’ labor; financial exploitation of prisoners and their families; and wasting away of lives that is our American prison system. My picture shows me (old lady with purple shirt) at the airport, en route from Arizona to Florida for my second visit with my son.
